Downtown has two distinct areas: the contemporary, sleek high-rises to the east, and the city’s historic district, Lower Downtown (LoDo), to the west.
Downtown of Central Business District: Broadway, Speer Boulevard, Larimer Street, 20th Street.
Lodo: Speer Boulevard, 20th Street, Larimer Street and Wynkoop Street
LoDo is the lower downtown area of Denver, Colorado and the original settlement of the city of Denver. It is a mixed-use historic district, known for its nightlife, and serves as an example of achievement in urban revitalization.
LoDo has been restored and renovated over several decades and is home to amazing restaurants, exceptional nightlife, coffeehouses and in close proximity to Coors Field, home of the Colorado Rockies
Downtown Denver, or the Central Business district, has resurged in the past few years. Downtown, with it’s plethora of original historic buildings (many converted into residential lofts and boutique stores) and phenomenal high-rises, are surrounded by some of the city’s best dining, shopping, arts and culture. Everything is a quick walk or a short free shuttle ride away. The Denver Center for the Performing Arts, Denver Art Museum, Colorado History Museum, Cherry Creek bike path, Denver Public Library, Civic Center Park, Pepsi Center and the Paramount Theatre are all within walking distance.
